Somenaths pictures would win many more awards at the salons. You dont need to visualise anything except pressing the shutter at the right moment. A beginner would do the same thing. The other two are much better and more creative by any standards. Deb Prasad roy has shown better visualisation and sense of humour. Congrats.

In reference to Windies comment:
1. POTY is no separate contest. The same photo won in POTM Dec. 2008 contest and 48 best POTM entries were considered for POTY contest. Unless the photo won in Dec 2008, it would not enter the final round of POTY.
2. Please read the fine print of Outlook Geo Click&Win Contest: http://traveller.outlookindia.com/geocontest.aspx
Does it say a winning image cannot be submitted?
3. Remains the question of sanctity. A work of art contested and judged in different rounds by different panels of judges, allowing the viewers form their opinions shows the spirit of art. There lies the sanity and sanctity of the medium. An arist would only know that. My friend, a master piece doesn't happen every other day.

This is indeed a great photo from Somnath mukhopadhyay but i guess you got to keep your sanity, over the same picture presenting every where and winning especially if the contest rules say 2009 pic only and previous winners. see outlook rules it said no previous winners but 2008 was presented

You had already one @ fotolock

outlook

and now 2009 fotolock. Where else and how many more.

I'm simply amazed to see the volley of comments from the Fotoflock community. I'm humbled. I must say that POTY concept is unique and it has finally arrived at a point where the community members are given an opportunity of judging the photos as much as the big names in the judging panel. I understand how much pains and pangs the judges must have taken in picking up the spots which the winners now enjoy. My big big thanks to them. I'm thankful to the members and visitors who have voted for me and above all who have enjoyed the work. Their encouraging words are further booster for me in the years to come. My thanks goes to EPSON for giving a platform for all the photo lovers.

My hearty congratz to all the winners.... I feel, after seeing the picture all winners are seriously worth for what they have got...
For the first time I am participating in such a contest I have learned many. I learned, photography is not just a click of a button in the cam.. it needs emotions, expression and thoughts and many of the photographer as well...
Thanks for all...
