"SHOOTER, The Unordinary Photochallenge" is the exciting, all-new, exclusive theme-based contest at fotoflock.com. SHOOTER is all about photos built around a specific theme, idea or event. It's the next level, with a new set of rules! There's a deadline, a different judging system (with a celebrity judge!), and of course, the fact that you have to enter an image that satisfies the current theme. It's one contest that can really happen whenever, as every now and then there will be a new theme, so keep a tab on this page.

JUDGING

The contest will be judged by a renowned photographer.

PRIZES

The Winner gets an Epson PictureMate PM235 and 3 Runners-up get a Fotoflock goodie bag each.

All winners and the best special presentation entries will earn a place in the SHOOTER Hall of Frames!

The contest is open to all, but only residents of India are eligible for prizes.

IT’S EASY TO PARTICIPATE (RULES)
Fotoflock Members can directly upload their entries and view them immediately by FIRST logging into their FotoSocial account (using their Fotoflock credentials) and then clicking HERE.

Unregistered members can mail us their entries at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it which will be uploaded and visible in 24 hours. The absolute deadline is midnight, Monday 12th July, 2010. Unregistered members should do the following (or your entry just might get missed!)

  • Make the subject of your email "Paradise on Earth"
  • In the email please mention (these are absolute musts!)
    • A Caption (give your photo a title)
    • Your name
    • City (of which the shot has been taken)
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Equipment used
    • You can submit a maximum of 2 entries
    • Total file size of both entries may not be more than 5MB

Special Presentation Entries. You can also have digital video material accompany your photo entry. It could, for example, be a video of the moment you took that shot, or of the place, or of the city as you walked… anything relevant. Video from any source are acceptable – cellphone, camera… Just remember to keep it short and sweet, and not heavy in filesize. This is not linked to the contest result.

JUDGING. The contest will be judged by the Fotoflock Editors and a Renowned Photographer.

Is it ok if I include my watermark and title in the image itself?

@chieftain- Thanks for your input but photographers should have the right to watermark their images to protect them.

@Rajiv- It doesn't matter if the images have been taken using a compact or a DSLR. Also you can submit pictures taken in colour and later changed to Black & white.

@Ramnath- Monochromes are fine.

Are monochromes allowed. For instance - sepia toned. Or is this strictly Black n White.

I would also like to know, can we later changed our colors photos to B & W ? And the photo taken by any camera, Digital or DSLR .

I feel that no txt should be added to the photos. Tihs is because I see some photos with the photographer's name thereon. This point shopuld be mentioned in the rules page.
